Calendar of Events February to July 2020


At our "Love is in the Air" program, I promised to put out a calendar of upcoming events.  Please check this blog occasionally to get a more detailed view of each event.  Hope this will help you plan what events you would like to attend in the future.

February 24, 2020:  Auditions for Missoula Children’s Theater @ 4:15 for grades K-13. 
February 25 - 28: Practices each day from 4:15 to 6:00 and 6:15 to 8:15.  Lower grades will not have as many practices.
February 28 (Friday): Snow Queen performance @ 7:00 P.M.
February 20 (Saturday): Snow Queen Performance @ 2:00 P.M.

March 7 (Saturday) Trace Bunday 7:00 PM  Tickets $10  All ages

March 13 (Friday): Soup and Cookie Night:  Taste a variety of soups and cookies 5:30 - 7:00
Tickets $5:00 children under 5 free and families $20

March  20 (Friday): Ignite the Basin:  Ten  community members give 5 minute talks about various topics using 20 slides.  This program is found in many city throughout the U.S. 

March 21: Deanna Spillman’s Traveling Canvas: Sip and Paint

April 
April 25: Tentative Date:  Steel Drum Band from Buffalo under the direction David Romtveldt.  This will be family afternoon concert with an inexpensive lunch provided. 

April 30: Art Open Show - more information will follow.

May 7: Jared Rogerson: Jared Rogerson (pronounced RAW-jer-son) is an American singer/songwriter whose western roots have blossomed into a distinct cowboy-rock vibe. With his sonic fusion of country, Americana, rock and folk, he paints a contemporary and complicated rural West.

May 22 (Friday): Jalan Crossland, from Ten Sleep will give a concert.  His guitar playing earned him National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship honors in '97 and the State Flatpick Championship title of his home state in 1999. In recognition for his contribution to the arts in Wyoming, he was bestowed with the Governor's Arts Award in 2013.

July

July 1 (Wednesday) High Country Cowboys: Back by Popular Demand!! Since their beginning in 2014, the Pro Cowboy Country Association has awarded them "Music Group of the year, 2017 and 2018. They also received "Best Album of the Year" (for their album "Cowboy" in 2018). Their lead singer Marty has been awarded "Yodeler of the year" (2017) and "Male Vocalist of the Year" (2018). The International Western Music Association has also recognized their album "Cowboy" as "Best Album of the Year" 2017, and Marty has won IWMA "Yodeler of the Year" 3 times.  Their traditional sound and three part western harmony has been compared to the Sons of the Pioneers and Marty Robbins.
