 Davis and Mavrick Concert

                                                             September 18, 2015                                                                     Show 7 PM

Davis and Maverick, a duo from Laramie, team up to play light rock, country and standards from the 50s 60s and 70s. They are well known for their harmony. Because you'll want to dance when you hear them perform, the concert will be held in the ballroom on the second floor of the theater. Although dancing is optional, there will be a lot of toe tapping going on - so don't miss out on this great concert.
This concert is sponsored in part by the Wyoming Arts Council and the National Endowment of the Arts.
Tickets: Adults: $10, Children 6-18: $5, and children 5 and under free

The High Country Cowboys at BCAC Fri., August 21
Free Admission - Sponsored by Security State Bank
Wine & Cheese Reception @ 6p.m.
Show @ 7 p.m.

The High Country Cowboys were born and raised in Montana where the cowboy spirit is still alive. Three brothers, John, Joe, and Marty realized a desire to bring back the good old western music from the days of Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, and the silver screen cowboys. For eight years they’ve been working on their harmony trying to simulate the sound and appearance of the Western Music groups of that time. They played for the first time for a public audience in 2013, and have since been playing regularly at the Pollard Hotel in Red Lodge. With two guitars, an upright bass, and three part western harmony, their traditional sound has been compared to The Sons of the Pioneers and Marty Robbins. They are now currently members of the Western Music Association.

The High Country Cowboys are sponsored by Security State Bank with a wine & cheese reception starting at 6 p.m. in the BCAC Ballroom.  Show starts at 7 p.m.  Admission is free.  The Basin City Arts Center is a nonprofit organization developing and supporting the arts in the Big Horn Basin.

June 12@ 7:00  Kameron Messner - Magician

If you need balloon animals and card tricks or fire eating and glass walking, then attend Kameron's amazing family friendly magical entertainment on Friday, June 12 at 7 p.m. at the Basin City Arts Center.  Kameron Messmer based in Billings, Montana started doing magic at the age of 14 helping demonstrate magic at his dad's magic shop. They started at the local mall in a kiosk selling pranks and magic tricks for the holidays. As the shop grew and magic shows became a normal part of the store's operations, Kameron began performing for children's birthday parties. His dad started to get more shows then he could handle, so they were passed onto Kameron.

Kameron also started teaching magic lessons on a regular basis and offers lessons for basic animal balloons, juggling and even fire eating! Years later, Kameron has done countless kids shows along with corporate parties, banquets, comedy shows and grand openings.  Actually there is science behind a lot of it and quite interesting once you learn.

There's nothing like a series of amazing magic tricks that leave the audience wondering for the rest of the evening:  "How did he do that?”  Kameron Messmer is the magic man! As a professional magician with over 15 years of experience, Kameron has performed countless family friendly shows.  Kameron Messmer will offer amazing magical entertainment at the Basin City Arts Center Friday, June 12 @ 7 p.m.!  Tickets at the door are Adults $10, Seniors & Children 13-17 $8, and Children 12 & Under $5. Don't miss the 1st annual "Ignite the Basin"

at the the Basin City Arts Center.

IGNITE events are happening in over 100 cities worldwide organized by volunteers. Ignite presenters share their personal and professional passions using a specific format. The Ignite event holds the motto: “ Enlighten us, but make it quick!”  Anyone can throw an Ignite event.  The presentations are meant to “ ignite” the audience on a subject  whereby awareness, thought, and action are generated on the subjects presented.  At an Ignite event, each speaker has a time limit of five minutes, and must use 20 slides with each slide advancing automatically after 15 seconds. This forces speakers to maintain a rapid pace. At a just-comprehensible clip of 160 words a minute, Ignite speakers can utter about 40 words per slide, making a total of 800 words for the complete talk.

IGNITE the BASIN will be held Feb. 19th at the Basin City Arts Center.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with refreshments, snacks and malt beverages sold in the ballroom upstairs.  Talks begin at 7:00 p.m.  Eight presenters from across the Big Horn Basin from Worland, Cody, Powell, Greybull, Thermopolis, and Basin will inspire, entertain, and educate us.  This free event is family friendly and promises to be a unique and enjoyable evening!  For more information contact Lynne Davies @ 568-2207.
